[REVIEW] Kiko Moon Shadows

Hello everybody!
Today I wanted to talk about a drugstore product I have been loving a lot lately. It's from Kiko and it's part of the Midnight Siren collection, now on sale on their website and in store. I bought the first shade as soon as the collection was released, but as soon as I saw the quality of the first shadow, I went out and bought two more. I'm talking about the Kiko Moon Shadows, which are stick eyeshadows with a high water content.

The main reason why I love this product is because it's the perfect one-step smoky eye for when you only have 10 minutes to get ready but you still want to be fashionable (or for when you're feeling extremely lazy). You can easily place the shadow all over the lid and blend it into the crease, put on some mascara and be out the door in the blink of an eye, looking like you made the extra effort when you really haven't. Sounds like a dream come true, right?
Of course you can use those shadows as bases, applying some powder eyeshadow on top, but I find the shades really beautiful and pigmented and I don't think you really need to take that extra step.

The concept of the Moon Shadows is really similar to the Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow, but yet it's a little bit different. The texture is light and smooth, nice to wear all day long. The formula cools upon application from the high water content and glides on the skin easily without tugging. The shades, as you can see from the swatches, are really glittery, but the color pay-off tends to stay the same even after blending. I haven't noticed glitter fallout either. The shadows are blendable and you have some time to play with the product before it sets, but once it does, it's going to stay on without budging for hours. I tend to wear makeup for at least 8 hours per day, so it's really important for me to find "life-proof" products: if I wear a primer underneath, those shadows do last even more than 10 hours.

I totally think that those shadows are worth the money, especially now that you can find them on sale! What do you think about those shadows? Have you bought them? Let me know!

New In #1

P2 Peel Off Base

I’ve always wanted to try a peel off base to use especially under glitter nail polishes, that can be a pain in the butt to remove. P2 is a new brand here in Italy, so when I saw this product I bought it, along with some other ones.

P2 Last Forever Nail Polish
190 Hold Me Tight!

Uno smalto color malva acceso che mi ricorda molto l’autunno.
I would describe this color as a strong mauve, perfect for fall.

P2 Volume Gloss Nail Polish
020 Business Woman
I’ve been looking for ages for the right nude nail polish for my skintone and I think I finally found it. This P2 color is a rosy nude polish with a really nice texture. I can’t wait to try it on my nails!

CATRICE Velvet Matt Eyeshadow
010 Vanillaty Fair & 040 Al Burgundi

I first read about Vanillaty Fair from Chia’s blog a while ago: she used it to brighten her eyes in her daily routine and I wanted to try it so badly. The other color is a beautiful matte burgundy shade perfect for fall. I can’t wait to use them!

CATRICE Illuminating Blush
010 I am nuts about you & 030 Kiss me Ken

Catrice is one of my fave low cost brand: I’ve tried their blushes in the past and I’ve loved them, so when I saw that they came out with illuminating blushes I immediately bought two. I like them a lot so far, the colors are really nice, they’re pigmented and most important thing, they last a long time on the skin!

ESSENCE Make Me Brow
01 Blondy brows

Promossissimo!
Since my hair is lighter, I’ve been wanting to try a brow gel lighter than the L’Orèal one that I have. I saw this one at the store and I immediately loved the wand, so I decided to try it. The wand is small and therefore really precise; it doesn’t pick up too much product either. I like it!

WET N WILD Megalast Lip Color
965 Cherry Picking

I’ve been wanting this specific color for ages now, but everytime I wanted to buy it, it was always out of stock. I finally found it and I can’t stop using it: it’s a cherry red with a hint of berry that I find it’s perfect for fall (again). I have a couple of looks in mind that I want to do with this lipstick, so you’ll see it in action really soon.

WET N WILD Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette
High Flying colors & Boardwalk Boozing

Last but not least, two really bright palettes, not so fall-appropriate as the other products I bought. I really like Wet n Wild palettes for their texture and pigmentation, and I was trying to hold on to summer like crazy when I bought them ahahah

Fatemi sapere!
